Buckner in Latvia
In 2004, Buckner made its first visit to Latvia. Since then, Buckner involvement has grown to include foster family care centers, humanitarian aid distribution, follow-up programs in several cities, orphanage improvements, a baby home in Riga as well as summer programs and Vacation Bible Schools for children living in the Naval Port military base.

Buckner in Russia
It all started in Russia. Russia became Buckner’s first international partner in 1995 when Buckner workers began providing the country with guidance on orphanage condition improvement. Today, Buckner continues to support Russian orphans through humanitarian aid, construction projects and mission teams throughout the year.

Buckner in Romania
Buckner jumped at the opportunity to work in Romania in 1996 after country officials sought Buckner’s expertise in orphan care. Today, Buckner’s work in Romania includes four group homes, staff to coordinate emergency relief and humanitarian aid efforts, a weekly follow-up volunteer ministry for group homes, a daycare center for homeless children, an orphanage for special-needs babies and children and a child development center for Gypsy children in Târn?veni.
